The role
- Plan and coordinate civil works from procurement through construction and handover.
- Develop construction methodologies, programmes and staging plans, identifying risks and managing delivery priorities.
- Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and site teams to meet drawings, specifications and project requirements.
- Manage budgets, forecasts, variations and progress claims, with a focus on commercial performance.
- Resolve technical and design issues while driving safety, quality and environmental standards.
- Build client relationships, mentor developing engineers and improve our project delivery systems.
About you
- Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Science, Building Construction or a related discipline are essential.
- Proven civil construction experience at Project Engineer or Senior Project Engineer level.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, sequencing and practical problem-solving.
- Sound commercial skills across procurement, cost control, forecasting and contract administration.
- Clear communication, confident stakeholder management and an accountable, hands-on approach.
- Experience in earthworks, drainage, roads, pavements, concrete or utilities will be highly regarded.
